DNS

The Domain Name System is a hierarchical and decentralized naming system for computers or any other resource connected to the Internet or a private network.

This service allows the translation of domain names into IP addresses. This way, users can enter addresses based on domain names in their browser and the DNS will then translate this request into an IP address, therefore defining to which server the user will have to connect.
