HTTP

The HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is an application protocol for distributed, collaborative and hypermedia information systems. HTTP is an Internet communication database where hypertext documents include hyperlinks to other resources so that a user can easily access it.

As a matter of fact, web browsers are HTTP clients as users can connect to a server and browse what is stored on it.
